Holly Gerth

Every snowflake comes to the earth
as a picture of our Saviour's birth,
because they are sent from up above
and remind us of God's care and love.

Each one is so intricate and small
because Christ sees the details of us all,
and just as two are never the same
the Lord knows and calls us each by name.

Snowflakes gently cover the world in white
and hide what's unlovely from our sight,
showing us how He covers our sin
and gives us His grace when we come to Him.

So may every snowflake bring Christ to mind
and in every bit of white may you find
a reason to celebrate anew
and a reminder of His love for you.

He's coming home!!!

Talked to Brian last night, he's in Arkansas now for his test. If all goes well he will be home at the end of the week. He will have to take the bus home and then when it is time for him to go back he will either go to Ohio or back to Arkansas to pick up his own truck. It has been 6 weeks since he has been home. Guess I'll have to go to the grocery before he gets here.

My trucker

Brian's been driving a truck now for 5 weeks. He absolutely loves it. Although he misses being home, he is enjoying it. I'm not missing him so much yet because classes are keeping me busy. On a whim Brian had a few days free so I drove to Indiana and I met him for a few days. I got to meet the guy who is training him. George seems like a really nice guy and he was absolutely hilarious. We had a great time together. We went to Chicago on Sunday and went to the Field Miseum. The guys worked on getting smart and intelligent. Afterwards we went to Giordano's for some yummy pizza. We walked around downtown Chicago for a while then headed back to our hotel. The 36 hours went by way to quickly.
We are back to the waiting process for him to come home for a few days. I'm glad he made this decision to start driving. He seems to really enjoy it. I'm happy he's finally happy. He's been almost all over the southern states and is starting to enjoy driving through the mountains. Although I do get tired of hearing how warm it is in someplaces, I like hearing all about his trips. Whenever and if ever he comes home we plan on finally getting married.
